Proceeds Recruitment Strategy continues to deliver exceptional results

By Tom Richards - April 12th, 2024 | Posted in Article

In a fast paced, labour intensive industry like contract cleaning the importance of having a robust recruitment strategy cannot be overlooked. Our comprehensive recruitment programme is something we have refined over the last 5 years and we would consider ourselves experts at delivering large scale projects. Scaling from a standing start to £15M in revenue and a 1000 employees in 5 years, requires a huge amount of focus on implementation and transitions.

We have developed a bespoke recruitment process for the professional sector to ensure 100% compliance. We have a full-time internal recruitment specialist called Amanda Ivory, who manages the applicants from the point of interest through to their face-to-face interview with our management team.

Prior to meeting a member of our operations team she will complete video interviews, obtain all legal documentation, complete right to work checks and ensure the applicant is CRB checked (if required). Amanda, is  trained like the rest of our operations team to identify potential cases of modern slavery. This regimented approach to onboarding colleagues means our management team can spend more time with clients and colleagues carrying out high value tasks, rather than organising interviews.

We were recently audited by a  Slave Free Alliance, a subsidiary of Hope for Justice and received the below feedback –

The overall feedback has been excellent with strengthened controls, awareness and training provided to all relevant teams in place.  There will be some further work on the escalation process for any potential incidents which must involve prompt notification to the Senior Management Team, but we are confident with the work that you continue to do, that all modern slavery and human trafficking risk remains low.

Please pass on our thanks to all sub-contractors and cleaners who took part in discussions.
