The Brunswick Shopping Centre – London

Background

Proceed Solutions were invited to tender for the cleaning and associated services of this grade II listed residential and shopping centre in Bloomsbury, Camden. The Brunswick offers a wide range of retail, entertainment and dining experiences. This property has a central open-air shopping mall, car parking facilities and cinema. We are pleased to announce the successful award of this contract for two years.

Challenges

The high footfall associated with this popular shopping mall brings additional challenges for cleaning contractors. This project requires daily deep cleaning of the public areas as well as routine maintenance. The work had to be done to the highest standards while minimising disruption to the public. We were also required to retrain the existing staff in a range of skills including housekeeping, environmental regulations plus health and safety procedures.

Solutions:

• A staff re-training program was developed and implemented to bring existing staff up to Proceed Solutions’ exacting standards.
• We appointed an on-site manager with the appropriate management and motivation skills needed to get the best out of the cleaning and maintenance teams.
• Regular employee appraisals, coaching and support were implemented to ensure that all frontline staff took a proactive approach to their role.
• We developed and delivered innovative, cost-effective solutions without compromising on the quality of work.
