A team of Proceed volunteers worked tirelessly on Sunday 8th September  working for the outreach programme, LitterForce is a partnership between Walking With The Wounded and Keep Britain Tidy that works with local people to tackle the scourge of roadside and countryside litter. It has three key objectives:

  • To enable veterans to put core skills developed in the military to good use, with the ultimate aim of finding employment.
  • To encourage local people to pick up litter in their neighbourhoods, with savings to the public purse.
  • To motivate communities, including schools, to work together in a way that delivers significant environmental, health and well-being benefits.

I huge thank you for the team for an amazing effort, a pick up truck full of litter demonstrates the requirement for such a unique programme.
