Proceed Bring People-First Approach to Princes Mead Mobilisation
Proceed Solutions has secured and mobilised a new cleaning services contract at Princes Mead Shopping Centre, in partnership with Workman LLP.
Since going live on 1st April 2026, the mobilisation has followed a structured six-week programme, with a strong focus on employee engagement and communication. From day one, the focus has been on getting to know the team and building relationships on site. With many of the on-site team already well-established at Princes Mead, Proceed Solutions has been able to spend less time recruiting and more time listening, engaging, and building trust.
According to Toby Hussey, Senior Key Account Manager, Proceed Solutions “Weekly calls kept everything aligned, but it was the time spent on site, speaking to the team and building relationships day-to-day, that really made the difference.”
Built on Relationships, Not Just Process
At Proceed, mobilisation isn’t just about systems and timelines, it’s about people feeling part of something from the start. Early feedback from the team highlighted the impact of the transition, with one colleague commenting:
“Would just like to say a massive thanks to the whole team at Proceed for the mobilisation of Princes Mead.
Why Workman Chose Proceed Solutions
Alongside the people-first approach, innovation has also played a key role. Working closely with suppliers and the on-site team, new equipment, including DRYFT technology, was introduced based on real feedback. Chemical-free cleaning via Aquasmart has also been rolled out, delivering strong results while supporting a more sustainable way of working.
It’s a simple Proceed Solutions philosophy: listen to the people doing the job, and give them the tools to do it better.
A Strong Start — and a Sign of What’s to Come
Operating across a busy, seven-day shopping centre environment brings its challenges, but the team’s flexibility and commitment has ensured a smooth transition from day one.
“Mobilising a live shopping centre environment is never straightforward, but the level of engagement and communication throughout this process has been excellent. The team have adapted quickly, and it’s clear there’s a strong culture being built on site already.”
– Duncan Coombes, Shopping Centre Manager, Workman LLP
Here’s what our Chief Operating Officer, Mark Day had to say;
For Proceed, the mobilisation reflects a wider approach to service delivery, one that puts equal weight on people, performance, and development.
“We’re proud of how the team has come together at Princes Mead. Mobilisations are about more than just getting up and running, they’re about setting the tone for what comes next. When you focus on people, listen properly, and bring the right ideas to the table, you give yourself the best chance of building something that lasts.”
– Mark Day, Chief Operating Officer, Proceed Solutions
Proceed Solutions prides itself on being passionate about people and innovation — small enough to care, and big enough to cope. And at Princes Mead, that’s already starting to show.
