Tell me a little about yourself?
I’m a very proud Mum of two daughters and a son as well as a nan to one granddaughter.
What is your role within Proceed?
I am a Site Contract Manager based at DHL Tyrefort, Birmingham. I manage stillage cleaning, waste recycling and some office cleaning.
Tell me about an average day in your working life with Proceed?
Not one day is the same but part of my job role is to ensure our shift goes as smoothly as possible. This could mean reporting machine breakdowns, managing waste collections, ensuring we have MHE support, ensuring all job roles are covered, so if we are short of staff we all work together as a team to cover all tasks until a replacement can arrive to support.
How has your position changed since joining Proceed?
When I was first TUPE’d over to Proceed Solutions, I was a Team Leader managing the morning shift. Becoming the Site Manager came with more responsibility, I had to learn how to manage the waste side of the contract and how to manage schedules, absences, annual leave, amongst other things.
Tell me what you enjoy most about working for Proceed?
Always have 100% support – I know that if I need support or have an issue the management or the staff at head office, like Kelly, are there to help, no matter how small the issue is.
